Work with us

Work Skills Traineeships provide paid employment opportunities through funding from the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work program.

They offer the opportunity to gain skills, experience and on-the-job training, as well as a formal qualification, whilst contributing to projects that leave a visible and long-lasting impact on social infrastructure in a local community.

The Work Skills Traineeships, running since 2017, have proven so successful that we were one of the few organisations in Queensland awarded a long-term contract. This is down to the support provided to trainees, the level of engagement with other community organisations, and most importantly the employment outcomes.

Through these Work Skills Traineeships, participants are employed full-time (38 hours per week) as entry-level Trainees on 22-week work placement projects. They earn their Certificate I in Conservation and Ecosystems Management.
