Hardy. Good street tree. New leaf growth is a beautiful salmon pink colour.
Additional uses
Birds are attracted to the fruits. Many culinary uses – jams, tarts, sauces and cakes or blended for ice cream. Seedless varieties are available that can be prepared easier.
Also used for a general purpose timber – labelled Cherry Satinash.
