Additional cultivation notes
Good as a poolside plant and in tropical gardens. Not frost tolerant. Underside of leaf can be red or green, depending on variant.
Additional uses
Attracts birds, bees and butterflies. Flower buds and roots also edible when cooked – roots have a more earthy flavour.
